Description
The Faradite Motion Sensor 360 White - Volt Free is a 5-35V low profile, silent, discreet passive infrared ceiling mounted motion sensor with an IP67 rating. Protruding only 3.5mm the IP67 ensures discrete motion sensing can be delivered in those more demanding areas such as bathrooms, gardens and outside spaces.
The sensor can be used to automate lights in outside spaces, porches and bathrooms due to its IP67 rating.
The sensor can be used with 5-35V home/buillding/lighting control systems that have volt free / dry contact inputs, such as Lutron, Crestron, Loxone and Control4.
Connection to Control4 is simple: connect one side of the relay to the “SIGNAL” input on a contact closure and the other side of the relay to the 12V power supply. Simply provide the sensor power using the +12V and GND outputs of the contact closure or any other 5V-24V supply. When using a contact closure the generic motion sensor driver can be used. You might need to tick the invert tickbox depending on what contact closure you have connected the sensor to as the sensor is “normally open”.
Janus Technology have written a driver that integrates the Faradite Motion Sensor 360 - Volt Free with Control4, via a Brainboxes’ I/O device as an alternative to a contact input. Search for “Faradite Janus Technology driver” for more info.
When installing the sensor in a fire rated ceiling please select the fire rated option.
When the Fire IDR is fitted the sensor is fire rated for 60 minutes
