Description

http/s is one of the protocols allowing thousands of IoT devices to communicate with each other.

Through this protocol, it is actually possible to control and manage any system in a clear and efficient way: from straightforward client/server designs to complex and distributed network architectures.

porta IoT is a device designed to interface with lares 4.0 control panel family in a quick and easy way, without using, in most cases, SDK integrations. This is possible thanks to the http/s API exposed through porta IoT giving the chance for example to:

• include / exclude, alarm and restore the zones;
• manage monostable and bistable outputs;
• run a scenario;
• and much more by managing POST, PUT and GET requests.

At the same time, when an event happens, lares 4.0 control panel is able to send POST, PUT and GET requests compatible with the devices that you want to control, thanks to the porta IoT module.

Additionally, porta IoT boosts the security of the integration:

• By supervising the IP devices from which it accepts http / s requests; • By requiring a specific token for APIs.

porta IoT ensure a full integration with the lares 4.0 control panel: all the configuration is accomplished on the control panel web interface. The device is connected to the control panel via Ethernet and can be powered both, via PoE and from an external power supply (12V).

porta IoT is provided with plastic box occupying 4 DIN slots.
