ISE 2016 Roundup
Last week saw the return of Integrated Systems Europe tradeshow held over four days for the first time. The sold out show topped over 1,100 exhibitors occupying 12 halls with around 66,000 visitors. The four-day event featured over 150 education sessions in the four Show Floor Theatres, plus classes from CEDIA and InfoComm.
New products
ABB exhibited for the first time, supporting the KNX stand where they premiered the new ABB Control Touch. Basalte unveiled the new S4 multi-user music server. The long-awaited GIRA G1 was on display with full functionality demos and Revox showcased multi-user audio system, Voxnet with live demos throughout the show.

Basalte’s Eve wall mount for the iPad Pro is the newest addition to the Eve series. Carefully following the evolution of the iPad family and iPod touch, this frame is elegantly designed and compliments any interior.
The all-new S4 multi-user music server, the latest product in the Asano range completes the high quality multiroom audio system, which can fully integrate into KNX home automation system. The intelligent app’s unique features of simple organisation of audio zones and sources per floor or category, functionality to play other connected audio sources, user restrictions and password protection for sources and audio zones and the full flexibility and scalability of Asano appealed to the stands visitors.

A preview of the new building control centre, ABB Control Touch, was enough to get integrators excited about its official launch at Light + Building 2016. Latest updates on the Comfort Touch - Philips Hue and direct link to Sonos appealed to integrators as well as the latest collection of KNX presence detectors
Gira
The powerful and intelligent G1 was a popular attraction at the stand. The device enables full control of all aspects of building intelligence, from light dimming through to door communication. The live demos proved popular, enabling integrators to experience the high-resolution display and full functionality for themselves through a simple touch or gesture.
Simon
Sense collection by Spanish manufacturer, Simon, proved a popular switch range with its simplistic designs and haptic feedback. The three unique variations within the collection give the customer the flexibility to create the ultimate space.
Theben
theServa - A high performance KNX visualisation solution enabling lighting, awning and heating via a tablet or smartphone was on display for integrators to sample. theServa provides the necessary functions for residential products and can be displayed on most monitors and tablets.
Extended format of the show
The layout of the show was well received by both integrators and manufacturers. The event over four days encouraged a higher number of visitors by giving more flexibility and training opportunities. Manufacturers and integrators were impressed with the show and are looking to return in 2017.

The show was the perfect opportunity for integrators to see what products are new to the market, see live demonstrations, meet existing suppliers, discuss project requirements, make new contacts, learn new trends and update their skills from industry experts.
