Atios is now available in New Zealand!

Atios makes Matter-certified controllers that bring app and voice control to KNX and DALI installations. From today, the Atios KNX Bridge and Atios SmartCore are available to order through Ivory Egg in New Zealand.

Who Atios is for

Atios is built for system integrators and electricians who want to give clients smart home control through the apps they already use. Because Atios works with Matter, the end user can choose their platform: Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings or Home Assistant*.

The two products cover different types of projects. The KNX Bridge suits high-end residential homes with an existing KNX system. The SmartCore suits smaller, stand-alone projects such as apartments, hotel rooms and rental properties, where a full KNX system isn't part of the brief.

The range

• Atios KNX Bridge

One device with three functions: Matter control, a KNX-IP interface and a KNX-DALI gateway. It installs in the electrical cabinet next to the KNX actuators.

• Atios SmartCore

An all-in-one controller with 12 relay outputs, 12 digital inputs and a built-in DALI-2 controller, for lighting, shading, heating and access control.

• Atios DALI Button Coupler

An accessory for the SmartCore that adds 4 buttons per coupler, with up to 64 couplers on a single bus.

Key features, and what they mean on site

KNX Bridge

Three functions in one device. The built-in KNX-IP interface and KNX-DALI gateway mean fewer devices to specify, less cabinet space, and one less item on the bill of materials.

Setup through a web interface. Connect the device to Ethernet and KNX, add the group addresses in the Atios web interface, then scan the Matter QR code. ETS isn't needed for the Matter setup, while the KNX-IP interface is still available for ETS programming.

Flexible connection. The Bridge connects via Ethernet with PoE or via WiFi, with a separate power supply, so it fits the network setup already on site.

KNX Secure support. The Bridge supports both encryption layers of KNX Secure: KNX IP Secure, which protects against threats from outside the installation, and KNX Data Secure, which encrypts devices and telegrams on the KNX bus.

Remote access through ETS 6. Using the ETS 6 Cloud Interface feature, integrators can connect to a KNX project remotely, end-to-end encrypted with KNX Secure and with no logins, plugins or VPN configuration. For integrators, that means fewer site visits for changes and troubleshooting.

SmartCore


Enough I/O to automate a whole space. With 12 relay outputs, 12 digital inputs and a DALI-2 controller supporting up to 64 lamps and sensors, one SmartCore can run the lighting, shading, heating and access in an apartment or hotel room.

No programming required. Configuration happens in the web interface, with no additional software, and the configuration is saved on the device itself.

PoE for power and networking. One cable handles both, which keeps the installation simple.

Works with existing switches. Push buttons connect to the digital inputs, and the DALI Button Coupler extends this beyond 12 inputs, so clients can keep using the switches they prefer.

Both products

Local operation, no cloud. All Atios products run locally, so the home keeps working without depending on an external server, and client data stays in the home.

• Platforms: compatible with any Matter ecosystem, including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant*.
• KNX (KNX Bridge): requires an existing KNX system. Supports KNX IP Secure, KNX Data Secure and the ETS 6 Cloud Interface.
• DALI: the KNX Bridge includes a KNX-DALI gateway; the SmartCore includes a DALI-2 controller for up to 64 lamps and sensors.
• Network: KNX Bridge via Ethernet (PoE) or WiFi with a separate power supply; SmartCore via PoE.
